About Good Shepherd Primary

Good Shepherd is a Catholic primary school (Kindergarten to Year 6) in Gungahlin, offering a strong foundation for future education. We prioritise child safety, wellbeing, and inclusion while fostering kindness and good manners. Our curriculum balances academics with opportunities in Music, Sport, STEM, and Italian. The School is part of Catholic Education, Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn (CECG) which operates 56 Catholic Systemic Schools and nine Early Learning Centres across ACT and NSW.

About the Role 

As a Classroom Support Assistant, you'll be an essential part of creating a positive and engaging learning experience for young students. Working closely with teachers, you’ll assist in delivering lessons, managing the classroom, and providing personalised support to students. This fulfilling role allows you to contribute meaningfully to children’s education, promoting their academic progress and social development while gaining valuable experience in the education field. This appointment is temporary to replace an employee who is on leave or secondment.

Qualifications  

  • Certificate IV in School-Based Education Support (Desirable); or
  • Third year or final year of study and completion of the practicum in a relevant initial teacher education (ITE) qualification.
  • Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration.
