About the Role

The Teacher Assistant (TAS) is directly responsible to the TAS Coordinator and as a Support Staff member, the Business Manager. The Teacher Assistant (TAS) supports the TAS staff in their day-to-day operations and ensures the effectiveness and safety of workshops and machinery being used in the TAS rooms by performing the following duties.

Essential Criteria

  • A commitment to the goals of Catholic education and a readiness to foster the aims and vision of the College in the wider community 
  • Applies knowledge with depth in some areas and a broad range of skills in a variety of roles and tasks
  • Uses discretion and judgement in planning, organising and achieving outcomes in time constraints 
  • Works under general direction. Employees at this level may work semiautonomously and may be required to supervise other general employees
