About the Role

The Information Technology Officer will work within the IT team as directed by the Network Manager in the professional and efficient administration of the College's IT and Audio-Visual systems. We are seeking someone with with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The successful person will have the ability to work independently to support a busy environment with many competing priorities. 

Essential Criteria

  • Support and promote the Catholic values of the school;

  • Demonstrate a high level of written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills and an aptitude to effectively support people with a wide range of IT abilities;

  • Proven ability to perform technical troubleshooting and problem solving;

  • Collaborate and build collective body of knowledge within the team;

  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities to deliver work to meet deadlines;

  • A strong work ethic and the ability to work as an integral part of a team and work independently with minimal supervision;

  • Experience, ideally demonstrated in an educational context with managing IT systems and Applications, ideally aligned with the Colleges IT Facility as described.

  • Drive to learn new skills and to further develop themselves in order to contribute more effectively in a secondary school environment;

  • Demonstrate a pro-active approach to taking ownership of issues and driving them through to final resolution and a happy customer.
