The school has a current enrolment of approximately 340 students in Years K-10, with an exciting expansion to Years 11 and 12 kicking off in 2023. Being a Central School expanding to senior years gives us the unique opportunity to work with students and families for the entirety of their education journey. About the Role
McAuley Central School seeks a Learning Support teacher to join our comprehensive and vibrant team at McAuley Catholic Central, Tumut
The incumbent is a self-starter who values the importance of maintaining currency with changes in the Australian Curriculum, and developing new resources. They will be active and continuous in professional learning that is relevant to learning support and differentiation of teaching programs, as well as concerns and debates in the education sphere more generally.
As part of a vibrant team the incumbent will contribute both professionally and collegially to the team of professionals at McAuley Central School.
We are seeking committed professionals who demonstrate:
- Promotion of stewardship of our Vision for a Catholic School;
- Skills as an outstanding teacher of experience and initiative who can work effectively with the curriculum team, colleagues, students and families;
- A deep knowledge of contemporary issues and practices relating to learning support and differentiation of teaching programs from Years K-12;
- Ability to contribute to the development of pedagogy and assessment practices across the curriculum;
- Willingness to support the School to build community with staff, students and their families; and
- Exceptional communication with the ability to effectively engage with colleagues, students, parents and community members.
