About the Role   

The Classroom Support Assistant plays a key role in creating an inclusive and nurturing learning environment by partnering with teachers to support student participation, especially those with diverse learning needs. This position involves providing targeted support to individuals and small groups, modifying learning tasks, and encouraging the use of strategies that enhance students’ confidence, independence, and social-emotional development. The Classroom Support Assistant works closely with teachers and specialist teams to implement personalised adjustments that help students reach their academic potential and actively engage in the wider school community. There are multiple position available, with up to 70 hours per fortnight allocated a between the two successful applicants.

Qualifications  

  • Certificate III in School-Based Education Support
  • ACT Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) clearance.
