About the Role   

The Religious Education Teacher inspires students in their faith journey through the creation of engaging lessons that develop knowledge, spiritual growth, and respect for diverse perspectives. Religious Education Teachers collaborate with colleagues and families, provide timely feedback, and help shape the curriculum while fostering a supportive and inspiring classroom environment. This role is all about guiding students to grow in both faith and understanding.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Teaching or Master of Teaching  
  • NSW Working With Children Check (WWCC) 
  • NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) accreditation 

To teach and lead Religious Education in a Catholic school, you must:  

  • Be a practising Catholic, connected to a parish or other worshipping community
  • Provide a reference from a parish priest 
  • Must be a qualified Teacher with a minimum of five years’ experience 
  • Have completed or are due to complete Accreditation D in accordance with the Accreditation to Work, Teach and Lead in Catholic Education, Canberra and Goulburn Policy.
