About the Role 

The Student Welfare Officer supports the well-being of students by providing pastoral care and implementing strategies that promote a safe, inclusive and supportive school environment. Working closely with students, staff and families, the role focuses on fostering positive relationships, addressing individual student needs and supporting the well-being of the broader school community. As part of their responsibilities, Student Welfare Officers are required to complete a three-hour online Professional Learning Package during work hours, aimed at preventing and responding to cyberbullying.

Qualifications  

  • ACT Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration.
  • Certificate IV Youth Work: or
  • Certificate IV Pastoral Care; or
  • A diploma or a Bachelor's in a relevant field.
