About the Roles
We have multiple positions available for dedicated and dynamic Art, Hospitality and Geography teachers. 

In conjunction with teaching the course, the Art, Hospitality and Geography teachers are charged with keeping up to date with changes in the curriculum and developing new resources.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing and executing well-planned, academically rich and innovative lessons;
  • Employing a variety of effective teaching strategies and contemporary pedagogy to successfully implement the curriculum;
  • Working collaboratively in the Art, Hospitality and Geography teams to develop an engaging and challenging curriculum with clear learning outcomes, provision for differentiated learning, shared curriculum documentation and consistent assessment strategies;
  • Reporting on academic achievement to parents and making appropriate levels of contact with parents as necessary;
  • Developing positive relationships with students that assist in the pastoral care of young people;
  • Giving appropriate time to the planning of lessons and collaboration with other teachers as part of teaching teams;
  • Actively contributing to a culture of teaching and learning where teachers learn with, and from, each other and actively inquire into effective pedagogical practice;
  • Engaging in active and continuous professional learning.

Essential Criteria 

  • Must hold a relevant Working with Children registration (WWCC) and Teaching Accreditation (NESA)
  • Must have commenced or completed relevant degree.
  • Ability to maximise student learning and engagement through the delivery of various teaching strategies, employing effective and high impact pedagogical practices;
  • Tertiary educational qualifications in the Art/Hospitality/Geograhpy area, with the ability and willingness to teach in more than one Art/Hospitality/Geograhpy area;
  • Capacity to work collegially with a range of people and to evaluate professional practices for improvement;
  • Strong commitment to participating in the School’s pastoral care program and building positive relationships; and
  • Active and continuous professional learning.
