About Us
Catholic Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn Education Limited (CECG), provides education in the ACT and NSW, operating 56 Catholic Systemic Schools and nine Early Learning Centres in the ACT.
About the role
Early Childhood Educators nurture the growth and development of preschool children in a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment. Early Childhood Educators assist in engaging play-based learning experiences that support each child’s cognitive, emotional, social, and physical development in line with the regulatory framework. The ELC Educator's role involves fostering positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues, ensuring open communication and collaboration. ELC Educators also maintain a focus on well-being and safety, adhering to CECG and regulatory standards. This is a rewarding role that has the opportunity to impact the lives of children while growing professionally in a supportive team environment.
Casual employees who have been approved to work, nominate preferred work locations and provide their availability through our Casual Relief System (CRS) and may be called upon, on an as-needed basis in accordance with operational needs and employee availability and preference.

Qualifications
- ACT Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration.
- First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
- Diploma in Early Childhood and Care; OR
- Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent).
Selection Criteria
- Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage positively with colleagues and students.
- Ability to apply knowledge experience and training to assist with planning, organising and achieving outcomes within the relevant time constraints.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to apply initiative and manage competing priorities.
