About the Role

The Youth Ministry Officer reports to the Religious Education Coordinator (REC) and will assist in animating the Religious Life of the Catholic School by supporting and developing student ministry initiatives and assisting in the development of youth faith formation and catechesis. The Youth Ministry Officer will support the development, implementation, and growth of the Catholic Schools Youth Ministry Australia (CSYMA) Youth Ministry model within the Catholic school. The Youth Ministry Officer will assist the teacher in supporting religious education curriculum in classrooms. You'll create and lead engaging programs that connect youth with their faith, providing a safe space where they can ask questions, explore their beliefs, and build meaningful relationships. This role combines leadership with mentorship, as you empower young individuals to become confident, compassionate, and active members of their community. Qualifications  

  • Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration.
  • In accordance with the Catholic Education, Religious Education Framework you must have completed or be willing to complete the required RE accreditation and related training.
