About the Role 

The Classroom Support Assistant (CSA) plays an important role in helping create a supportive and inclusive learning environment. The CSA works closely with teachers to support students, especially those with diverse learning needs. This includes providing direct support to individuals and small groups, adjusting learning tasks where needed, and using strategies that help students build confidence, independence, and social skills. The CSA helps make sure all students can take part in classroom activities and reach their learning goals.

Qualifications  

• Have a Certificate IV in Education Support (for classification at Level 5.1); or
• Have a Certificate III in Education Support (for classification at Level 4.1); or
• Be studying an Initial Teacher Education qualification (for classification at Level 4.1); or
• Have three years' experience in a Classroom and Learning Support Assistant position (for classification at Level 4.1). 
• Working with Children’s Check (WWCC).
