St Francis Xavier College (SFX) is a comprehensive 7 -12 Catholic secondary school of 1200 students located in the heart of Belconnen and has an outstanding reputation for leading excellence and innovation in learning and teaching. About the Role
We are seeking to recruit a Coordinator of Literacy to join our team. The Literacy Coordinator plays a vital role in the College by providing staff and student support and advice in teaching and learning and creating an environment where teaching and learning are valued. The College is seeking a person who is committed to the vision of the College ‘Living the truth, leading with courage, learning for life’ who is invested in and who will promote the mission of Catholic education. The successful applicant will be an experienced educator, will have demonstrated successful experience in enrichment practice in curriculum and will possess initiative, integrity and vision.
The Literacy Coordinator provides expert leadership in curriculum, teaching and learning in junior studies, utilising best practice in current research, evidence, and innovation in literacy to meet the needs of learners. As a member of the Curriculum Leadership team, the Literacy Coordinator reports to the Assistant Principal Teaching and Learning and to the Principal in realising the vision and mission of the College.

Qualifications
- Bachelor of Teaching or Master of Teaching.
- Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) registration.
- Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration.
