About the Role 

The Canteen Assistant plays a key role in supporting the daily operations of the school canteen, ensuring the provision of healthy, nutritious, and appealing food choices to students and staff. Working under the direction of the Canteen Manager, this role involves assisting with food preparation, customer service, stock management, and ensuring the canteen is kept clean, safe, and compliant with food safety standards and regulations. The Canteen Assistant helps create a friendly and welcoming environment, supports efficient service during busy periods, and promotes healthy eating habits within the school community.

Qualifications  

  • ACT Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration. 
  • First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
