Salary Range: $80,184 to $130,910 full-time equivalent plus superannuation. Salary is determined based on years of teaching service.

About St Thomas Aquinas Primary School   

St Thomas Aquinas Primary School is a Catholic co-educational Parish School from P-6 that is committed to the development of the individual child academically, socially and spiritually. The school enjoys expansive grounds and recently refurbished ovals for students to play on. Teachers provide opportunities for students to participate in a variety of sports and sporting clinics. Staff utilise teaching and learning pedagogy including their knowledge of Cognitive Load Theory, to inform their planning and selection of educational resources to enable the best outcomes of students under their care.  

About the Role   

As a Classroom Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in guiding students on their educational journey through the delivery of high-impact, evidence-based teaching practices aligned with the curriculum. You will cultivate a dynamic, inclusive, and intellectually stimulating learning environment that challenges and supports every student, empowering them to achieve academic excellence and personal growth.

This appointment is temporary as it is to replace an employee who is on parental leave and the incumbent is entitled to return to work early in accordance with the Fair Work Act 2009.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Teaching or Master of Teaching
  • Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP)
  • Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) accreditation
