Salary Range: $82,796 to $136,848 full-time equivalent plus superannuation. Salary is determined based on years of teaching service. 
Employment Status: Part-time | 38 hours per fortnight | 12 month contract
Eligibility: Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
Start Date: Term One, January 2026

About the Role   

As an Early Learning Centre Teacher, you will create a nurturing, stimulating, and play-based learning environment that supports the developmental needs of young children. You will plan and implement engaging educational experiences that foster curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning, while promoting social, emotional, and cognitive growth. Working closely with families and colleagues, you will build strong, positive relationships to ensure each child feels safe, valued, and supported. Your commitment to early childhood education and understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework will guide your practice and contribute to a vibrant, inclusive learning community.
 
This appointment is temporary to replace an employee who is on parental leave. The incumbent is entitled to return earlier to their substantive position in accordance with the Fair Work Act 2009.

Qualifications  

  • Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) or Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA) approved qualifications.
  • Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration.
  • Registration with the ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI).
  • Certificates in First Aid (HLTAID004) & Asthma and Anaphylaxis.
