Salary Range: $80,184 to $130,910 plus superannuation. Salary is determined based on years of teaching service.

St John Paul II College (JPC) is a Catholic, co-educational secondary school serving families in the north of Canberra. About the Role   

The English Teacher is responsible for fostering students' critical thinking, communicaiton skills and understanding of literature. In this role, you will be responsible for creating engaging evidence-based lessons, that help students develop the skills needed to analyse texts, express ideas clearly, and respond thoughtfully to a range of perspectives. Through regular assessment and constructive feedback, you guide students while maintaining organised records to support their progress. We are committed to your professional growth, providing opportunities for collaboration with colleagues and engagement with families, ensuring you can thrive as an educator while empowering students on their academic journeys.

Qualifications  

  • Bachelor of Teaching or Master of Teaching
  • Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP)
  • Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) accreditation
