About Us  

Catholic Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn Education Limited (CECG) operates in the ACT and NSW, supporting 56 Schools and nine Early Learning Centres (ELCs). 

The Catholic Education Office (CEO) provides corporate services to the CECG system of schools, ELCs and the CEO through several service areas including Education and Performance Improvement, Catholic Identity, School and Family Services, Strategy and Special Projects, Finance and Infrastructure, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and People and Culture. 

About the Role  

The Executive Support Officer (ESO) provides high level executive, governance, and operational support to the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and the ICT Leadership Team, enabling the effective delivery of ICT services and strategic initiatives across the organisation. The role operates as a trusted partner to the CIO, managing priorities, coordinating complex activities, and ensuring the smooth functioning of the Office of the CIO and wider ICT function at CECG. Assist the CIO to lead a geographically dispersed ICT team of approximately 50 staff, the ESO plays a critical role in enabling strategic and operational outcomes.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Proactively manage the CIO’s time, priorities, and complex schedule, ensuring effective preparation, coordination, and follow through across competing demands.
  • Assist with the tracking and reporting of ICT performance metrics, project milestones, and strategic initiatives to support oversight and decision making.
  • Provide high level administrative, coordination, and operational support to the ICT Leadership Team and broader ICT workforce.
  • Plan and deliver ICT meetings, events, workshops, and stakeholder engagements, including logistics, materials, communications, and onsite support.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for the Office of the CIO, providing a professional, responsive, and customer focused interface with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications   

  • Tertiary qualifications or demonstrated experience as an Executive Assistant Or Executive Support Officer
  • Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration and Working With Children Check (WWCC) 
  • Current Drivers Licence.
