St John Paul II College (JPC) is a Catholic, co-educational secondary school serving families in the north of Canberra. About the Role    

The Junior Studies Coordinator provides administrative and curriculum support to the Assistant Principal – Teaching and Learning. Their domain will be Years 7 -10 utilising best practice in current research, evidence and innovation to meet the needs of all learners pursuing a Year 10 Certificate.  
 
In addition to undertaking the normal duties of a teacher, the Junior Studies Coordinator will also use a range of management methods and technologies to carry out their duties. This includes monitoring catalyst understanding and implementation, supporting Faculty Coordinators in teaching and learning, leading curriculum implementation, monitoring programming and assessment, and working collaboratively to develop and achieve the school's annual improvement plan.

Qualifications and Eligibility 

  • Bachelor of Teaching/Education or Master of Teaching
  • ACT Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) clearance
  • ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) 
  • Accreditation in accordance with Work Teach and Lead in Catholic Education Canberra and Goulburn policy
