About the Role

The Classroom Support Assistant works closely with the Senior Laboratory Technician in following established protocols to prepare and provide equipment, chemicals, maintaining accurate chemical registers, Safety Data Sheets, and risk assessments. The role involves supporting student learning by working individually or in small groups under the direction of class teachers, assisting in extending highly capable students and providing targeted support to those with learning difficulties. The Classroom Support Assistant collaborates with teachers to plan and deliver effective teaching programs, help maintain a quality learning environment, and assist with the supervision and preparation of students with disabilities during various activities, including excursions and extracurricular events.

Qualifications

  • Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration.
  • First Aid qualification or willingness to obtain.
  • Hold a Certificate IV or equivalent relevant experience.
