About the Role   

A qualified teacher educates students in a classroom setting and provides subject matter expertise. Teachers use approved techniques and resources aligned with the curriculum, provide regular assessment and feedback, maintain records, collaborate with colleagues and families, and uphold professional standards through ongoing learning and professional registrations.

The role focuses on delivering engaging, inquiry-based learning that supports and challenges diverse learners. It involves planning, teaching, assessing and providing feedback aligned with IB principles, collaborating with colleagues on curriculum development, communicating with families, and maintaining effective learning records. Continuous professional learning and contributing to team and school-wide practice are key expectations.

Qualifications and Eligibility 

  • Bachelor of Education or Master of Teacher
  • ACT Working with Vulnerable People clearance
  • ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) registration
  • Accreditation in accordance with Work Teach and Lead in Catholic Education Canberra and Goulburn policy
