Salary Range: $85,694 to $141,638 plus superannuation. Salary is determined based on years of teaching service.

About the Role   

The Religious Education Teacher plays a vital role in nurturing students’ relationship with God while deepening their knowledge of Catholic beliefs, values, and practices. Guided by the CACGEL-approved Religious Education Curriculum, the teacher designs engaging and meaningful learning experiences that promote spiritual and moral growth, encourage respect for others, and foster personal faith development. The Religious Education Teacher shares the richness of the Catholic tradition, helping students grow in their faith and live out the Gospel message.

Qualifications and Eligibility 

  • Bachelor of Teaching/Education or Master of Teaching
  • ACT Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) clearance
  • ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) registration
  • Be a practising Catholic, connected to a parish or other worshipping community 
  • Provide a reference from a current Parish Priest; and 
  • Accreditation D in accordance with the Accreditation to Work, Teach and Lead in Catholic Education, Canberra and Goulburn Policy.
