About the Role   

The Science Laboratory Assistant is a member of the Science faculty team that plays a key role in supporting science classroom teachers to ensure that all students can access and participate in the curriculum and activities to achieve the academic goals required for independent learning and confident participation. They have the capacity to provide specialist technical advice, direction, and assistance.

Qualifications and Eligibility 

  • NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • Certificate III in School-Based Education Support or Laboratory Techniques; current enrolment in an Initial Teacher Education (ITE) university program; or experience as a Classroom and Learning Support Assistant
  • Accreditation in accordance with the Accreditation to Work, Teach and Lead in Catholic Education Canberra and Goulburn policy
