Salary Range: $85,694 to $141,638 plus superannuation. Salary is determined based on years of teaching service.

About the Role    

A Science Teacher will deliver high-quality, curriculum-aligned learning experiences that inspire curiosity and promote a deep understanding of the natural world. The successful candidate will implement engaging, student-centred teaching approaches, incorporating practical investigations and problem-solving activities to develop students’ critical thinking and application of scientific concepts. The role requires the effective use of contemporary pedagogical practices and digital technologies, aligned with Catalyst principles, to create inclusive and stimulating learning environments for all students. Collaboration with colleagues and active participation in whole-school initiatives are essential, contributing to a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and positive student engagement.

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor of Teaching or Master of Teaching 
  • ACT Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) clearance 
  • ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) registration  
  • Accreditation in accordance with Work Teach and Lead in Catholic Education Canberra and Goulburn policy
