St John Paul II College (JPC) is a Catholic, co-educational secondary school serving families in the north of Canberra. About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic and dedicated Marketing and Communications Manager to join our team in 2025. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Principal and Executive Team to develop and implement high-level marketing and communication strategies across publications, stakeholder communications, advertising, media, and events to promote the College to the community.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement marketing and communication strategies for St John Paul II College.
- Manage our digital and social assets, as well as the College website, newsletter, and publications.
- Maintain brand integrity through comprehensive, timely and consistent marketing and communications.
- Lead specific marketing campaigns to drive enrolment and brand loyalty.
- Provide administrative support to the Principal including campaign reports.
- Liaise with external suppliers to develop marketing material, digital advertising content, and commercial printing.
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in marketing, communication, journalism, public relations or professional writing.
- Minimum three years in a similar role.
- Ability to obtain a valid Working with Vulnerable People card for ACT.
Selection Criteria
- High level skills in writing for multiple audiences across various media platforms, and editing content for publications and stakeholder communications, in consistent brand tone of voice.
- Proven achievement in developing marketing and communication strategies in traditional, print, digital, and social media channels.
- An understanding of marketing and strategic communication concepts and current social and digital trends and technologies.
- A high degree of computer literacy and digital asset management including automated marketing systems such as Hootsuite or similar content management systems.
- Experience operating the Google and Meta Business Manager suites stack, and Adobe Creative Suite an advantage.
- A creative mind, dedication to sourcing, ideating, and crafting great content and stories for and by the College.
- Managing and delivering community engagement and events.
