The Assistant Principal plays a vital role in fostering a culture of excellence, equity, and faith-based education. This position supports the Principal in collaborative decision-making, strategic planning, implementation, and evaluation to enhance school effectiveness and student achievement. The Assistant Principal is a value-driven leader who promotes continuous improvement through data-informed practice and professional development. A strong commitment to student wellbeing, community engagement, and Catholic identity is essential.

Qualifications and Essential Criteria

  • Bachelor of Education or Master of Teaching
  • NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) accreditation
  • Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • Postgraduate qualification in Religious Education or Theological Studies or be due to complete
  • Academic qualifications additional to initial teacher education (Master’s Degree or five-year equivalent)
  • Practicing Catholic connected to a parish or other worshipping community
  • Provide a reference from a current Parish Priest
