About the Role

The Classroom Support Assistant plays a crucial role in ensuring that students with diverse learning needs have the support they require to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Working closely with classroom teachers, the Classroom Support Assistant provides individualised assistance, modifications, and accommodations to meet the specific needs of each student. This may involve adapting teaching materials, delivering additional one-on-one or small group instruction, and helping to implement behavioral strategies or learning interventions.

This appointment is temporary to replace an employee who is on leave or secondment.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in School-Based Education Support; or
• Be studying an Initial Teacher Education (ITE) qualification; and
• Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration.
