Catholic Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn Education Limited (CECG) plays an integral role in education in the ACT and NSW, operating 56 Schools and nine Early Learning Centres (ELCs).  

The Catholic Education Office (CEO) provides corporate services to the CECG system of Schools, ELCs and the CEO through seven Service Areas. These Service Areas include: Education and Performance Improvement; Catholic Identity; School and Family Services; Strategy and Special Projects; Finance and Infrastructure; Information and Communication Technology; and People and Culture. 

About the Role  

The Cyber Security Officer undertakes security event monitoring and first level analysis of potential incidents across the organisation. This role is responsible for level one triage of security monitoring alerts, threat detection, assisting the team with device management and maintenance, incident response, threat intelligence and threat assessment. The Cyber Security Officer acts as a first level point of contact to assist users with cyber security service requests and cyber security matters as required.

About the Team

The Cyber Security Officer will be a part of the large and well established ICT team. The ICT team focus on delivering  secure and reliable technology solutions that allow our Catholic schools and staff to achieve excellence in education.

The ICT team covers a wide range of specialist areas, including Cyber Security, Operations and Service Management, Infrastructure and Enterprise Technology, Applications and Information Management, Business Systems, and ICT Project Delivery. Qualifications  

  • Bachelor’s degree, relevant professional qualification, or equivalent experience in an Information Technology related role.
  • ACT Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration and NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • Driver’s Licence.
