About the Role

The Director of Junior Studies is a specialist role in the College offering support and advice in teaching and learning in Junior Studies.  The College is seeking a person who is committed to the vision of the College ‘Living the truth, leading with courage, learning for life’ and is invested in and who will promote the mission of Catholic education. The successful applicant will be an experienced educator, will have demonstrated successful experience in curriculum leadership at Coordinator level and will possess initiative, integrity and vision.  

The Director of Junior Studies provides expert leadership in curriculum, teaching and learning in Years 7 -10 utilising best practice in current research, evidence and innovation to meet the needs of all learners pursuing a Year 10 Certificate. As a member of the Curriculum Leadership team, the Director of Junior Studies reports to the Assistant Principal Teaching and Learning and to the Principal in realising the vision and mission of the College.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Teaching or Master in Teaching.
  • ACT Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration.
  • ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) registration.
