About the Role 

As a Finance Officer, you will have the opportunity to manage the school's finances which includes accurate processing of invoices, payments and financial records. You will be responsible for issuing invoices and statements, handling fee-related enquiries, negotiating payment plans, and maintaining detailed communication records. The role also involves liaising with parents and guardians to resolve payment issues, working with debt collection agencies, and ensuring compliance with financial policies. Additionally you will support financial reporting, budgeting, and administrative functions, contributing to the smooth operation of the school's Finance, Business, and Administrative teams.

This appointment is temporary to replace an employee who is on parental leave. The incumbent is entitled to return earlier to their substantive position in accordance with the Fair Work Act 2009.

Qualifications  

  • Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration
  • Tertiary qualifications in finance and/or accounting
  • Professional Memberships as a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) or a Chartered Accountant (CA) will be highly regarded
