Salary Range: $80,184 to $130,910 plus superannuation. Salary is determined based on years of teaching service.

St John Paul II College (JPC) is a Catholic, co-educational secondary school serving families in the north of Canberra. About the Role 

The Health and Physical Education (HPE) Teacher empowers students to lead active, healthy, and balanced lives by making health and physical education meaningful, inclusive, and engaging for all. In this role, you’ll design and deliver dynamic lessons that promote physical literacy, wellbeing, and informed health choices across a range of activities and topics. Whether through team sports, fitness training, or discussions on nutrition and mental health, you’ll help students build lifelong skills in resilience, collaboration, and self-awareness. Ongoing assessment and constructive feedback will guide student growth and personalised learning, supported by thorough and reflective documentation. Collaboration with colleagues is central to aligning practice with school priorities and fostering a positive, active school culture. Clear, consistent communication with families will help strengthen student support and engagement. Qualifications  

  • Bachelor of Teaching or Master of Teaching.
  • Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration.
  • Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) registration.
