About Us  

Catholic Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn Education Limited (CECG) provides Catholic education in the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) and New South Wales (NSW).

CECG covers 88,000 square kilometres across the ACT and in NSW spans from Pambula in the south, Crookwell in the north and to the western point of Lake Cargelligo.

CECG operates 56 schools and nine early learning centres, is responsible for educating over 22,000 students and employs over 4,000 professionals.

The Catholic Education Office within CECG delivers corporate and professional services through its Service Areas, including the Office of the Executive Director, Teaching and Learning, Catholic Identity, School and Family Services, Strategy and Projects, Information Communication Technology, Finance and People and Culture.

About the Role  

The Health, Safety and Wellbeing Strategic Projects Partner supports the Health Safety & Wellbeing team through the provision of a broad range of functions to ensure that schools receive appropriate support in identifying and managing health and safety matters.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Coordinate and manage the system-wide delivery of annual playground inspections, including supporting schools with prioritising any rectification works identified during inspections.
  • Lead the process relating to the launch of system-wide WHS consultation mechanism; moderate discussion of the online consultation forum following launch.
  • Assist in the development of key policy and related documentation to maintain and further refine the existing framework.

Qualifications   

  • Certificate IV or WHS/OHS qualification would be an highly desirable but not required.
  • Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration and Working With Children Check (WWCC) 
  • Current Drivers Licence.
