About the Role

To realise our mission and in response to exceptional community interest in St Francis Xavier as the school of choice in the Belconnen region, the College has diversified its middle leadership team and created an additional new and exciting role - Coordinator of Hospitality and Fabric Technology - to expand and support the work of our current academic team in Technologies.

The Coordinator of Hospitality and Fabric Technology plays a vital role in the College by providing staff and student support and advice in teaching and learning and creating an environment of exceptional teaching and learning Year 7 -12. The College is seeking a person who is committed to the vision of the College ‘Living the truth, leading with courage, learning for life’ who is invested in and who will promote the mission of Catholic education. The successful applicant will be an experienced educator, will have demonstrated successful experience in curriculum leadership and will possess initiative, integrity and vision.

The Coordinator of Hospitality and Fabric Technology provides expert leadership in curriculum, teaching and learning in the delivery of junior, senior and VET education, utilising best practice in current research, evidence and innovation to meet the needs of all learners. As a member of the Curriculum Leadership team the Coordinator of Hospitality and Fabric Technology reports to the Assistant Principals’ Curriculum and Innovation and Teaching and Learning, and to the Principal in realising the vision and mission of the College.

Qualifications and Eligibility

  • Bachelor of Education or Master in Teaching
  • ACT Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) clearance
  • ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) registration
  • Accreditation in accordance with Work Teach and Lead in Catholic Education Canberra and Goulburn policy
