Location: Nicholls, ACT 
Employment Type: Permanent 
Employment Status: Full-time 
Eligibility: Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
Salary Range: $80,184 to $130,910 plus superannuation. Salary is determined based on years of teaching service.   
Start Date: Semester 2, 2025
Closing Date: 11.55 pm, Sunday 1 June 2025

St John Paul II College (JPC) is a Catholic, co-educational secondary school serving families in the north of Canberra. About the Role 

The Mathematics Teacher fosters a love of learning by making maths engaging, relevant, and accessible for all students. In this role, you’ll design and deliver lessons that build problem-solving skills, mathematical reasoning, and confidence across key areas like number, algebra, geometry, and statistics. Using real-world contexts, digital tools, and targeted strategies, you’ll support every student to thrive.

You’ll use regular assessment and feedback to guide personalised learning and track progress. Collaboration with colleagues and open communication with families will be key to supporting student achievement. We’re committed to your growth and will support your professional learning and accreditation journey every step of the way.

Qualifications  

  • Bachelor of Teaching or Master of Teaching.
  • Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration.
  • Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) registration.
