Salary Range: $95,482 to $104,166 plus superannuation (based on skills and experience)

About the Role  

The Policy Officer helps develop and implement clear, compliant policies and procedures across the Service Areas, schools, and early learning centres. Drawing on understanding of relevant legislation and regulatory frameworks, the Policy Officer analyses requirements, collaborates with internal subject-matter experts, and works with teams to establish efficient processes, roles, and responsibilities. The Policy Officer provides advice to Service Areas and Executives, drafts policy and procedural documentation, and manages the internal policy database and reporting, ensuring consistency, clarity, and alignment across the organisation.

Catholic Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn Education Limited (CECG) provides education in the ACT and NSW, operating 56 Schools and nine Early Learning Centres (ELCs).   

The Catholic Education Office (CEO) provides corporate services to the CECG system of Schools and ELCs. These Service Areas include Education and Performance Improvement, Catholic Identity, School and Family Services, Strategy and Special Projects, Finance and Infrastructure, Information and Communication Technology and People and Culture.

Qualifications  

  • Tertiary qualifications in law or policy management, or other relevant areas, are highly desirable.
  • Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) and Working with Children’s Check (WWCC) registrations.
  • Driver’s License.
