Salary Range: $82,796 to $136,848 full-time equivalent plus superannuation. Salary is determined based on years of teaching service. 
Employment Status: Part-time | 38 hours per fortnight | Contract for the remainder of the 2026 school year 
Eligibility: Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident

About the Role   

The Relief Classroom Teacher inspires and supports students by delivering engaging, purposeful lessons using evidence-based strategies and approved curriculum resources. They create inclusive environments where students feel valued and motivated to achieve their best. Through regular assessment and personalised feedback, they guide each student's learning journey, carefully tracking progress and celebrating milestones along the way. By collaborating and communicating with colleagues and families, they help build a strong support network around each student. This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher to provide in-built relief across all classes in a very supportive and motivated school. The applicant will have the opportunity to teach children all curriculum areas and extend the children's learning, while growing in professional expertise.
 
This appointment is temporary to replace an employee who is on leave or secondment.

Qualifications and Eligibility 

  • Bachelor of Education or Master of Teacher
  • ACT Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) clearance
  • ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) registration
  • Accreditation in accordance with Work Teach and Lead in Catholic Education Canberra and Goulburn policy
