About the Role    

The Religious Education Teacher delivers the approved CECG curriculum, helping students explore religious beliefs and values within the Catholic tradition. This role includes creating engaging lessons that encourage critical thinking and respect for different views. The teacher uses student data to guide teaching, provides clear feedback, and adapts lessons to meet diverse learning needs. Working closely with colleagues and committing to ongoing professional growth are key to supporting a positive and inclusive school community.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Teaching or Master of Teaching 
  • Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration  
  • Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) registration  

To teach and lead Religious Education in a Catholic school, you must:  

  • Be a practising Catholic, connected to a parish or other worshipping community 
  • Must be a qualified Teacher with a minimum of five years’ experience 
  • Have completed or be due to complete Accreditation D in accordance with the Accreditation to Work, Teach and Lead in Catholic Education, Canberra and Goulburn Policy.
