About Us  

Catholic Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn Education Limited (CECG) operates in the ACT and NSW, supporting 56 Schools and nine Early Learning Centres (ELCs). 

The Catholic Education Office (CEO) provides corporate services to the CECG system of schools, ELCs and the CEO through several service areas including Education and Performance Improvement, Catholic Identity, School and Family Services, Strategy and Special Projects, Finance and Infrastructure, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and People and Culture. 

About the Role  

This role will be working under the supervision and guidance of the Enabling Frameworks Advisor, the School Compliance Training and Development Officer is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering compliance and school governance training programs across schools, Early Learning Centres, and School Aged Care Services in Catholic Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn Education Limited (CACGEL). School governance is a strong component of this role, with the position playing a vital part in building governance capability and understanding amongst principals, school leaders, and staff.

Key responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Create engaging, accessible, and effective training materials including presentations, e-learning modules, resources, and guidance documents, and facilitate training sessions, workshops, and briefings across schools and services adapting delivery methods to suit diverse audiences and learning preferences.
  • Coordinate the delivery of NESA Accredited training including participant registration, attendance recording, and issuing professional development hours in accordance with NESA requirements and liaise with NESA to maintain awareness of changes to accreditation requirements and professional learning standards.
  • Collaborate with other business units to identify compliance training needs and coordinate delivery of integrated training programs, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements, legislative changes, and best practice in compliance training and development.

Qualifications and Eligibility   

  • Tertiary or relevant qualifications in a related field.
  • Experience in a comparable role.
  • Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration and Working With Children Check (WWCC) Please note these will need to be completed before you are able to start but are not required at time of application
  • Current Drivers Licence.
