Salary: $82,796 to $136,848 plus superannuation. Salary is determined based on years of teaching service.

About the Role 

The Classroom Support Teacher plays a key leadership role in advancing Inclusive Education across the school community and partners closely with classroom teachers, learning assistants, and specialist staff to design, implement, and evaluate high-impact teaching practices and targeted intervention programs. They provide expert guidance on differentiation, personalised learning, evidence-based strategies, and adjustments that support meaningful participation for all students. A strong focus of the role is ensuring that student learning remains at the centre of all decisions. The Classroom Support Teacher continually monitors student progress, aligns support with current curriculum requirements, and ensures that programs and practices reflect the individual strengths, needs, and goals of students.

Qualifications  

  • Bachelor of Teaching or Master of Teaching
  • ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) registration
  • ACT Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) clearance
