Salary Range: $82,796 to $136,848 plus superannuation. Salary is determined based on years of teaching service.

About St Thomas Aquinas Primary School

St Thomas Aquinas Primary School is a Catholic co-educational Parish School from P-6 that is committed to the development of the individual child academically, socially and spiritually. The school enjoys expansive grounds and dedicated learning spaces, including the Arts. Students also have the opportunity to participate in a variety of sports and sporting clinics. Staff utilise teaching and learning pedagogy aligned with the Science of Learning, to inform their planning and selection of educational resources to enable the best outcomes of students.

About the Role

The Teacher is a valuable member of the teaching team at St Thomas Aquinas. You will plan, deliver, and evaluate lessons aligned with the Australian Curriculum, using a range of teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs. You will provide timely assessment and feedback, maintain strong communication and organisational skills, and work in partnership with colleagues and families. This position will involve teaching one of our senior classes between Years 3-6.

This appointment is temporary to replace an employee who is on parental leave. The incumbent is entitled to return earlier to their substantive position in accordance with the Fair Work Act 2009.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Teaching or Master in Teaching.
  • ACT Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) clearance.
  • ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) registration.
