About Us  

Catholic Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn Education Limited (CACGEL) operates in the ACT and NSW, supporting 56 Schools and nine Early Learning Centres (ELCs). 

The Archdiocesan Schools Office provides a range of services to the system through four directorates including Faith in Learning, School Operations, Corporate Services and Governance and Strategy.

About the Role  

The Finance Systems Manager role is strategic as well as provides operational leadership to driving continuous improvement and system optimisation across all finance related processes and procedures. This role works closely with the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) enterprise business systems team regarding training documentation and troubleshooting for system users.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Develop, automate, and enhance financial reporting tools that meet business, school, and executive information needs. Ensure reports are user-friendly, timely, and aligned with strategic and operational KPIs.
  • Lead strategic planning and business analysis to identify opportunities for optimisation. Develop and execute improvement projects aligned with broader financial and operational goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders, including school leaders, IT teams, and finance managers, to ensure finance systems are responsive, trusted, and effectively embedded across the organisation.

Qualifications and Eligibility   

  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Information Systems, combined with demonstrated expertise in process improvement, change management, and ICT systems implementations.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Accreditation in accordance with Work Teach and Lead in Catholic Education Canberra and Goulburn policy
  • Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration and Working With Children Check (WWCC)

  • Current Drivers Licence.
