About Us  

Catholic Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn Education Limited (CACGEL) operates in the ACT and NSW, supporting 56 Schools and nine Early Learning Centres (ELCs). 

The Archdiocesan Schools Office provides a range of services to the system through four directorates including Faith in Learning, School Operations, Corporate Services and Governance and Strategy.

About the Role  

This is an opportunity to lead a high-performing ICT operations function that delivers meaningful impact across schools and offices every day. You will be responsible for ensuring technology services are reliable, secure, scalable, and responsive to the needs of staff and students, enabling quality educational outcomes across the organisation.

As a senior leader, you will drive the operational performance of ICT services, transforming strong technical foundations into outstanding customer experiences and service outcomes. You will lead a talented team, strengthen operational maturity, improve service performance, manage risk, and champion continuous improvement across all aspects of ICT operations.

Success in this role requires a combination of strategic thinking, operational leadership, stakeholder engagement, and people leadership. You will lead and develop leaders, build workforce capability, and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and professional growth. You will have the opportunity to influence organisational direction, deliver lasting improvements, and help shape the future of technology services within a dynamic and purpose-driven environment.

About the Team

The ICT team at CACGEL delivers technology services that support 56 schools, 9 early learning centres and corporate offices across the ACT and NSW. We are responsible for service delivery, field services, infrastructure, applications and platforms, cyber security, enterprise systems, data and integrations, and digital transformation, ensuring technology enables staff to focus on delivering outstanding educational outcomes. As a team, we combine operational excellence with continuous innovation, working collaboratively to provide reliable, secure and scalable services that support a flourishing community of schools and help every student reach their full potential.

Qualifications and Eligibility   

  • Degree in Information Technology or related discipline.
  • Relevant certifications in IT service management, infrastructure, or cloud platforms.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Accreditation in accordance with Work Teach and Lead in Catholic Education Canberra and Goulburn policy
  • Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration and Working With Children Check (WWCC)

  • Current Drivers Licence.
