About Us  

Catholic Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn Education Limited (CECG) operates in the ACT and NSW, supporting 56 Schools and nine Early Learning Centres (ELCs). 

The Catholic Education Office (CEO) provides corporate services to the CECG system of schools, ELCs and the CEO through four directorates including Faith in Learning, School Operations, Governance and Strategy and Corporate Services.

About the Role  

The role provides professional learning and in-centre support for directors, teachers and educators, and supports ELCs and School Age  in meeting the needs of children with additional and behavioural needs. This work is undertaken in collaboration with the General Manager, Early Learning Services and the Assistant Manager, Early Learning Centres.

  • Support Early Learning Centres (ELCs) and School Age Care Services (SACS) to deliver on requirements of the National Quality Framework (NQF), including National Quality Standards (NQS) and compliance with laws, regulations, approved learning frameworks and CE policies, procedures and requirements.
  • Support, motivate and mentor the preschool and school aged care teams to deliver exceptional outcomes for children and families.
  • Support directors, teachers, and educators in planning and implementing high-quality, responsive early learning and care programs based on sound knowledge of childhood development and educational principles to meet the needs of groups and individual children.

This role requires travel to ELCs and SACS in Canberra.

Qualifications and Eligibility   

  • Provide a reference from a current Parish Priest
  • Willingness and ability to obtain Accreditation D in accordance with Work Teach and Lead in Catholic Education Canberra and Goulburn policy
  • ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) approval and/or NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) accreditation
  • Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) qualifications or equivalent
  • Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration and Working With Children Check (WWCC) 
  • Current Drivers Licence
