About the Role

This role shares with the Principal and the Leadership Team the responsibility of:

  • educational and spiritual leadership;
  • the development of a Christ-centred faith community;
  • ensuring Catholic perspectives are embedded across all subject areas.


The School’s Mission and Ministry Leader works in close partnership with the Religious Education Coordinator.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Teaching or Master of Teaching
  • ACT Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration
  • ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) registration

To teach Religious Education in a Catholic school (to be a Religious Education Teacher), a teacher must:

  • Be a practising Catholic; 
  • Provide a reference from a current Parish Priest; and 
  • Have completed or be due to complete Accreditation D – Teach Religious Education in a Catholic school in accordance with the Accreditation to Work, Teach and Lead in Catholic Education, Canberra and Goulburn Policy.
