Salary Range: $82,796 to $136,848 plus superannuation. Salary is determined based on years of teaching service.

About the Role 

The Science Teacher creates an engaging learning environment where students explore scientific ideas through curiosity and practical investigation. In this role, you will deliver curriculum-aligned lessons using effective teaching strategies and resources that make science relevant and accessible. You’ll connect concepts to real-world contexts, helping students understand the role of science in everyday life. Through regular assessment and feedback, you will monitor progress and support each student’s learning journey. Working collaboratively with colleagues and families, you will help build a supportive environment that enables all students to succeed. Ongoing professional development and accreditation opportunities are available to support your growth and ensure your practice remains current and evidence-informed.

Qualifications  

  • Bachelor of Teaching or Master of Teaching
  • ACT Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration
  • ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) accreditation
