About the role
Principals of Catholic schools are called to live and promote our Vision – to share and witness to our Catholic Faith and Traditions, build inclusive communities and deliver contemporary quality learning opportunities for every person.

St John Paul II College is a welcoming and inclusive learning community, catering for students in Years 7 – 12. Together with the local Catholic primary schools, the College provides a K – 12 Catholic pathway for families in the Gungahlin region. St John Paul II College is a thriving school community embracing the challenge of the twenty-first century, with stewardship at the heart of the College. This ethos of stewardship is built into all we do, from our health and wellbeing program to our Sustainability classes, to our canteen with freshly made-made meals from our kitchen garden. At St John Paul II College you will have the privilege to lead 115 staff in a school with student enrolments of 964*.

We are seeking candidates who can commit to the purpose of our schools: namely “To be faith filled Catholic learning communities of hope, joy and wonder where all are welcome and inspired to grow to their potential.”

We are also looking for a Principal who will actively engage with the community and grow school enrolments under their leadership.
