About the Role
The role of the Classroom Support Assistant is to support the school and classroom teachers in providing quality learning experiences for all students, particularly those with individual needs. The CSA can be designated to a class, an individual student/s or deliver a specific learning program. The CSA is directly responsible to the Classroom Support Coordinator.
Essential Criteria:
Successful applicants for the position will have:
- A commitment to the goals of Catholic education and a readiness to foster the aims and vision of the school in the wider community
- Effective written and oral communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with students with learning needs, and liaise with parents and teachers.
- Effective interpersonal skills, including the ability to contribute to a professional team and provide advice and evaluation in the development of the educational programs, including classroom support and therapy programs where they have been implemented.
- Effective organisational skills that will assist in the delivery of effective education programs and subsequent feedback and evaluation to teachers.
- Ability to assist with the general health and wellbeing of students.
