Employment Status: Part-time | 15.2 hours per fortnight

About the Role    

The Canteen Manager plays a key role in the daily operation of the school canteen, ensuring it runs efficiently, safely, and in line with school and health standards. This will be a shared role, responsible for preparing and serving food during recess and lunch, maintaining hygiene and food safety practices, managing stock and budgets, and coordinating with suppliers. The Canteen Manager also leads and supports volunteers, ensuring they are trained and confident in their roles, while fostering a welcoming and collaborative environment. Working closely with the Principal and Office Manager, the Canteen Manager contributes to the financial sustainability of the canteen and supports the school’s commitment to healthy, sustainable, and community-focused food practices.

This appointment is temporary to replace an employee who is on leave or secondment.

Qualifications

  • First Aid (desirable)
  • Previous experience in Hospitality service
  • Working with Children’s Check (WWCC)
