About Us  

Catholic Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn Education Limited (CECG) plays an integral role in education in the ACT and NSW, operating 56 Schools and nine Early Learning Centres (ELCs). The Catholic Education Office (CEO) provides corporate services Schools and ELCs.   

The CEO provides corporate services to the CECG system of Schools and ELCs. These Service Areas include; Education and Performance Improvement, Catholic Identity, School and Family Services, Strategy and Special Projects, Finance and Infrastructure, Information and Communication Technology and People and Culture. 

About the Role  

The ICT Service Desk Agent plays a critical role in supporting the organisation’s ICT operations by serving as the first point of contact for all ICT-related enquiries. This position is responsible for delivering responsive, high-quality assistance to users through incoming calls, service tickets, and other communication channels. 

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Accurately diagnose and resolve first level technical issues
  • Provide high quality customer service over the phone, via email and through ticketing systems to provide support to CECG users
  • Escalate complex matters to specalised teams and officers
  • Assist in the creation and renewal of SOPs, Technical templates knowledge based tools
  • Use ITSM tools and ITIL concepts to manage Incident, Problem, Change and Release records to track workloads
  • Provide onsite assistance to stakeholders

The ICT Team at Catholic Education Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn (CECG) provides support in enabling high-quality and operational excellence across our schools 56 schools, 9 early learning centres and head office. Committed to delivering robust, secure, and innovative digital solutions, the team manages the full spectrum of information and communication technology services—from infrastructure and cybersecurity to end-user support and digital learning tools.

Qualifications   

  • Certificate IV or similar certification in Information Technology or equivalent industry experience.
  • Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) and Working with Children’s Check (WWCC) registrations.
  • Driver’s License.
