About the Role 

The Literacy Coordinator plays a key role in leading and supporting the delivery of high-quality literacy teaching across the school. This position combines classroom teaching with the strategic development and implementation of evidence-informed literacy programs that improve student learning outcomes. The Literacy Coordinator works closely with teachers to strengthen their capacity in effective literacy instruction, ensuring that planning, assessment, and classroom practice are guided by data and aligned with whole-school priorities. The role involves providing coaching, modelling best practice, and facilitating professional learning to promote consistent and effective literacy approaches across all year levels. Through this work, the Literacy Coordinator fosters a culture of excellence and continuous improvement in literacy teaching and learning.

Qualifications  

  • Bachelor of Teaching or Master of Teaching
  • ACT Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) clearance.
  • ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) registration.
